The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

I seriously want it and been wanting it for a long, long time.

And I want your opinions as well, even tho I think they'll be negative.

But yeah, I need a dramatic change cause I've been unbelievably stressed out and I just have this urge at the moment.

Also, I won't probably get it that short and as for the colour, I've thought about it and I'll probably make it red/orange-ish, a bit darker, cause I have pretty dark skin and blue eyes, so yeah. I'm just sick of black hair. :/

it's nice...

the only thing is, you're gonna have to worry about the upkeep of bleaching your hair over and over again when roots come in.
I think it will flatter you, the only thing I'm iffy about is the color.

but, it's your hair. you do with whatever pleases you.

go for it. cutting my hair short was one of the best resolutions in my life. and i think it will look good on you

and don't be scared about dying/colouring your hair. it's refreshing change

As experience from having short hair as a girl.. use good judgement and make sure you don't look too much like a boy with a pixie.

Wear girly clothes, ect. Other than that- go for it. Cutting all my hair off was one of the most meaningful changes I'd had in a long time. And plus- you don't have to brush it!!
