Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Also, sorry for being inactive all this time. I've been through tons of exams and deviantArt crashed really badly for the past few days.

Either way.. I got into college. Graphics section, Art University of Bucharest. Moving in the dorms next week.

EDIT: Sorry about the sketch thing, they won't really be sketches, more like clean lineart plus some shading. Don't know if the price is too high, but I work a lot on them so I think 20 dollars per character is a reasonable price..

I'm not sure whether I'm one of the 'old' commissions or not. We agreed on a price and my commission was accepted but I was never given any payment instructions so I couldn't send the money?

I'm not trying to put pressure on you or try to rush you, it's just, when things take a long while I'd appreciate to hear from the person at least once, concidering I paid you nearly 5 months ago and never heard from you since.
