The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you finally made the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean more quality to the paintings, am i right?.
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

Also, sorry for being inactive all this time. I've been through tons of exams and deviantArt crashed really badly for the past few days.

Either way.. I got into college. Graphics section, Art University of Bucharest. Moving in the dorms next week.

Hope all of you are doing well.

EDIT: Sorry about the sketch thing, they won't really be sketches, more like clean lineart plus some shading. Don't know if the price is too high, but I work a lot on them so I think 20 dollars per character is a reasonable price..

I asked for my two characters. It was flat colors and full body for 50$.

Nilyr (guy):
-white messy hair/kind of shaggy I guess, that's alllmost shoulder length.
-very pale, and has a longish head, and two different colored eyes. (Right eye is dark green and left eye is dark brown)
-He has insomnia & dark circles around his eyes.
-He wears a long black trenchcoat and plaid pants that are brown and blue (He doesn't match at all)
-shoes are black and pointy. (I know nothing about shoes so I don't have much to compare them to)
-additional info would be that he's tall & skinny and wears earrings.

Reyn (girl)
-long red hair. (sort of this color [link])
-has a slightly tan skin tone, and light gray eyes
-wears a gray hoodie w/ green cargo pants & sandals.}

Not that your aren't isn't incredibly beautiful, but $25 for sketch commissions?

That sounds a little steep to me -- but I guess if people are willing to pay way to go, by all means make yo' paper boo-boo.

That's not really steep when you consider that it's pretty clear lineart, shading, and kinda a monochrome coloring thing going on. (In the example).
Especially because she has such skill, too. At least in my opinion.

I wouldn't expect sloppy work from her ever, but for an online commission it's still a little pricey.

But like I said, she can obviously pull it off so why not, it's awesome that she's actually making some substantial extra cash off of somethign she loves to do(most people couldn't)
